Sweden’s name according to Slavic and Nordic myths
Svantovit and Svarog are Slavic counterparts of the Norse gods Freyr and Heimdall:
Svantovit’s (Holy lord’s) name forms Svetovid, Suvid are similar to the names that Sweden has had. If so, these names have referred to the god Freyr (lord), because the names Sven- and Yngling that the Swedes have had belong to the god Freyr. In that case, the name of the Swedes in Ptolemy’s writings is, ie, Firasoi a garbled form of Fryasoi (Freyr worshippers).
About Svantevit:
Svantevit (also spelled Sventevith, Svetovid, Suvid, Svetovid, Svantovit, Swantovít, Sventovit, Zvantevith, Świętowit, Sutvid and Vid) was a four-headed god of war in West Slavic mythology. He was the father of all the other gods and probably a local variant of the sky god.
In academic literature, the theonym is traditionally divided morphologically as Sveto-vit – in the second part there is supposed to be a suffix -vit (hypothetical PS *-vitъ) meaning “lord, ruler, hero”. The suffix is supposed to derive from *vitędzь “warrior, hero” of Germanic etymology. Some researchers, however, have rejected the connection of the suffix with *vitędzь precisely because of the Germanic origin of the word; some scholars have linked the suffix to the word *vitati “to invite, to wish health”, or the hypothetical verb *viti.[d] Depending on which original meaning of the word *svętъ a given scholar takes, the theonym is translated, for example, as “Strong hero”, “Strong ruler and lord”, or “Holy victor”, “Holy lord”. Some scholars also divide the theonym as Svet-ovit, where the suffix -ovit means “one who has much (of something)”, “characterized by (something)”, and the theonym Svetovit is supposed to mean “The one with much that is holy”.
Similarities between blacksmith gods Svarog and Heimdall
Svarog (Old Slavic: Сварогъ/Соварогъ, Russian: Сварог, Sorbian: Schwayxtix, shining sky) was in Slavic mythology the god of blacksmiths and the father of Dazjbog (the sun god) and Svarogich (the fire god). at least according to Johannes Malala’s chronicles. Some scholars also believe that he was the Allfather in East Slavic mythology and the Heavenly Fire.
Heimdall is also blacksmith god and all-father. Heimdall (from heim meaning “world” and dallr meaning “shining”) is counted as one of the Aesir in Norse mythology even though he was not considered the son of Odin.
It sounds like the Slavic bridge keeper Ilya Muromets and the Finnish blacksmith god Ilmarinen have the same origins as Heimdall and Svarog.
The Slavic gods Svantovit and Svarog may have been identical in the beginning.
The domestic version of Sweden itself, ie, Sverige seems to be connected with Svarog.
The Swedes have been active mostly in the east and it has affected Slavic tribes and been influenced by them.
Freyr is from Vanir (the shining gods) and Vanheim is the land of the Slavs in north of the Black Sea.
Here, Vanheim is actually vagnheim (the land of fine wagons, Eu-ropa, Eu-karrona, Ukraine).
The name of the Swedes in Finnish ie, Ruotsi (rut-si) also means Freyr (god of love) worshippers:
rut (v.)
“desire copulation, be under the influence of sexual passion,” late 14c., ruteien, from rutei, probably an Anglo-French form of the noun (see rut (n.2)). Related: Rutted; rutting.

Rut is comparable with Bible Lot and his cities Sodom and Gomorrah with Sweden and Cimbria (Denmark). In the Bible, Dan (dead/terrible)- mark is equated with the Dead Sea. The myth has been influenced by the downfall of Atlantis (out land).

It seems that Freyr’s love partner Gerd (hon from the field-edge) has been identical with the wise Sami goddess Giedde gaesj galggo (the field-edge woman).
